The day began with the bridal party getting ready at Amy's beautiful family home, a charming setting with plenty of childhood memories strewn around the house. Pops of red could be seen hanging in doorways, the vibrant colour scheme for the lovely bridesmaids. Meanwhile the groomsmen enjoyed some time at the Douvres, a lovely venue whose beautiful gardens act as a great setting for pre wedding photos of the boys readying themselves for the day ahead.
As the day ticked on the time came for the church and the all important ceremony, a church full of loved ones and the beautiful bride a vision as she walked down the aisle with her father. They walked out to the sound of bagpipes and scooted off in the Guernsey tuk tuk down to Fermain bay for photos before heading to Sausmarez Manor for the reception, a last minute change of plans due to the unpredictable Guernsey weather. They took this in their stride however, and although disappointed at the last minute change they embraced it and enjoyed the most wonderfully fun and heartfelt afternoon and evening with friends and family. Stunning flowers by Jamblin Flower Farm adorned the marquee with travel themed table decorations and beautiful vintage furniture offering somewhere for guests to sit. The space looked incredible and a true representation of the couples vibrant and colourful characters.
Speaking to both the bride and grooms family traditions there was an exchange of floral garlands, a significant ritual symbolizing their union and acceptance into each other's families. This was then followed by a traditional cèilidh dance (with a quick lesson in advance of the final dance). This got the dancing off to a great start and a wild night on the dance floor ensued with some incredible photos captured from a very enthusiastic crowd.
